About Cameron Park Country Club

Home > About

Cameron Park Country Club was created in 1962 by developer Larry Cameron and designed by well-known golf course architect, Bert Stamps. The regulation par 72 course was originally named El Dorado Royal Country Club and enjoys a reputation of being one of the most challenging courses in Northern California. Narrow fairways, fast greens, lakes, meandering streams and majestic oaks add up to a stimulating game on a course set in tranquil surroundings.

The membership purchased the club in 1981 and changed the club’s name to Cameron Park Country Club. It has operated as a non-profit private country club since then and enjoys a sound financial condition. The club has its eye firmly on the future with the development and implementation of its strategic plan. This ensures that our members will continue to enjoy a solid financial return on investment.
